Varsity Football Continue to Improve for the Playoffs

BRIDGMAN – The LMC Lakers varsity football team, now 5-1, has won yet another game, this time against the Centerville Bulldogs on Friday, September 20. LMC took home the win with a final score of 35-0.

Being that playoffs are around the corner, the team has been focusing on their weaknesses and working tirelessly to improve.

Will Latham, sophomore, is willing to fix any mistakes needed to ensure victory for the team.

“I think we should practice more on our defense and offensive tackles.”

Aside from the negatives,Will had mentioned positive things about the team and the game.

“I also thought that our blocking and focus during the game was great”.

The team and fans have noticed a big difference between last season and this season. Will agreed that there were a couple changes since the previous season.

“I felt that this year were played and acted as a one team and as a family.”

Being a part of a family like the football team does show why the team are doing such a great job.

“Another thing is we are more focused and driven towards the playoffs.”

This upcoming game against Bridgman will not only make the team 6-1, but they will also be the champions of the conference. With three games left, the team continues to try their best to get to the playoffs. Please come and show your support for the football team. Kickoff will start at 7pm at Bridgman High School.
