BRIDGMAN – What a game! The LMC varsity football team competed against Bridgman at their home field and claimed the win.

The two teams competed for the League Championships and a spot in the playoffs. The Lakers reigned victorious with a final score of 24-19.

At the beginning of the game, the boys were down by 18 points. Fans feared that the defeat was inevitable, however the boys proved them wrong, and brought home the win!

There were touchdowns drawn down by Kyle Juza, junior, Will McCoy, junior, and Ian Cartwright, senior. The Lakers did an amazing job defeating the Bridgman Bees.

Good job to the LMC varsity sideline cheerleaders who fired up the crowd. Connor Casey, freshman, said “ It took heart and the power in order to win the game.”

Matt Defay, freshman, said “We took all we had to win the game.” At first the boys didn’t think we would be able to win. The boys worked hard and thrived for the win, they worked hard to get there and practiced everyday for this one chance, to prove that they are can work hard towards something and to accomplish it with great faith.

Congrats to the Laker Football Team for winning the conference and stinging those bees. We’ve crushed their dreams. Good luck at playoffs!
