LAKESHORE ROCKET FIELD- Friday, September 14th, the Lake Michigan Catholic Lakers took on Martin Public School for this years senior night. The unfortunately small team, however, was unable to even put up any points, losing the game 0-57.

The night started with the announcement of the Laker football and cheer Seniors and their parents, starting with the senior cheerleaders, Caroline McLoughlin and Adriana Nerio. Following the cheerleaders, Mr. O’Malley announced the Laker football seniors, Caleb Conklin, Wilkin Latham and Christian Monconduit.

Ms. Jane Deaton then proceeded to take pictures of all Seniors and their parents to mark the occasion.  This game was the last home game for the Lakers, excluding the Homecoming game scheduled for September 28th.

Fast forward to the start of the game, when the LMC and Countryside Co-op team came out of the gate aggressively to no avail against the much larger Martin public school team.  The Lakers showed great efforts against Martin, but that did not stop the titan school team from winning the game 57-0, demolishing the Lakers.

By, the end of the third quarter, Martin had established such a lead that the officials started a running clock, which, in turn, made the rest of the game move at a much faster pace. With the loss of this game, the Laker team moves to a 1 – 3 record, including the 8 man game against Eau Claire.
