LAKE MICHIGAN CATHOLIC – It was a great win for the girls varsity basketball team on Friday against Howardsville Christian. After a long bus drive, the Lady Lakers pushed through for a win and a great game winning 17-39.

LMC has a reputation for beating Howardsville Christian, however, the Lady Lakers knew it was the perfect time to focus on improvement and on plays.

Throughout the game, improvements such as passes, opportunity shots, and running the plays were shown. However, there were some things still needed to be worked on.

Coach Jarvie suggested the team look for inside shots, defense, and get better on free throws. Overall this game was one of the best so far.

Friday, December 16th, the girls will be playing against River Valley and this will determine the team’s improvements and efforts this season. This is because River Valley’s team has similar qualities.

Throughout practices this week, girls are going to be more aggressive, competitive, and intense towards their improvements and this week’s game.

Some basic skills they will be focusing on are speed, schrimaging, rebounding, and running wide. Best of luck to the Lady Lakers this Friday and for the rest of the season!
